Benny In Milan rounded off a good night for Peter Fahey when completing a double for the Monasterevin trainer in the bumper at Wexford.

Jamie Codd went for a run on the inner turning for home on the Milan gelding and he hit the front with over a furlong to run.

The 11/2 shot galloped on strongly in the closing stages to record a two-and-a-quarter length victory over Naturally Blond

The winner had been a staying on third on his last outing at Downpatrick last month.

Fahey had also landed the feature event with Xsquared and said afterwards:-

"It has been a great day. Aidan Fitzgerald had him point-to-pointing and he suggested the horse come to me, so I have to thank Aidan.

“He will tip away on the nice ground, he probably wouldn't run on much quicker than what it is today.

“He will more than likely head on over hurdles now. He will go for a maiden somewhere over two and a half and we will see how he gets on."
