FormscanBy Mark Nunan - WILD CHERRY may not stand out as an obvious selection, but she ran well in two maidens at this course last season and might improve enough from a recent run at the Curragh to fight out the finish here. She’s taking a drop in classs and likes to race prominently, so the inside draw should be an advantage if she gets a good break. Darkest finished ahead of the selection in a maiden here last October and should enjoy going back up to 7f, while Kokura was ‘first past the post’ (disqualified on the first occasion) in two maidens at Dundalk early in the year and should improve for his first run back at Leopardstown. Funny Little Ways will need to start more sharply after being slowly into stride when a running-on second at Limerick.
