FormscanBy Alan Magee - A really competitive renewal of this amateur riders event and the booking of Jamie Codd aboard ARCADIAN SUNRISE catches the eye. The John Queally-trained gelding won twice over hurdles earlier this year and probably just needed the run when switched to the Flat at Gowran Park earlier this month. Powerful Ted, a close-up third to Halimi in the Petingo Handicap at Leopardstown, and Grandmaster Flash, beaten less than two lengths in the valuable Connacht Hotel Handicap at Galway, both bring strong Flat form to the table. Mt Leinster was the pick of these over hurdles and filled the runner-up spot behind Wonder Laish in a similar event to this at Killarney last month. Shanning and French maiden winner Cape Gentleman add further spice to an intriguing race.
