FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - Great to see the Good Counsellors Syndicate back in action here, with their Jeremy mare, Suil Alainn. Headed up by another Aidan O’Brien, such a big part of the team at Good Counsel College boys secondary school in New Ross, this grouping enjoyed some marvellous days out with the now J P McManus-owned Iffraaj gelding, Cerberus. There’s been a nice flow of winners from the Gavin Cromwell yard lately, and Suil Alainn is worth bearing in mind, in a race where she’s joined by stable companion Shes Some Doll. There’s strong County Wexford interest all told here, and Paul Nolan’s Tucanae is very likely to be on the premises at the business end. Carrigeen Lotus also enters calculations for sure, but DREAMINGANDHOPING gets the nod. This daughter of Shirocco has ground to make on Carrigeen Lotus and Tucanae from her bumper days. The Queally outfit it one to have on side though, and with Liam Quinlan and his valuable five pound claim booked, a big performance is in the offing.
