FormscanBy Tom Weekes - FLAXEN FLARE has his first run since April here but might be capable of beating race-fit Plinth, which has 9lbs to find on adjusted official ratings. Flaxen Flare won the 2013 Fred Winter Hurdle at Cheltenham, is a solid performer in handicaps, goes well on good ground and is already a course and distance winner. Plinth looks his principal danger and while he has 9lbs to find, is aided by his rider's 5lbs claim. He himself has been Grade 1 placed over hurdles and while he is still just a four year old, hasn't proven yet proven himself at FLAXEN FLARE's level. The Plan Man is helped by his own rider's 5lbs claim but has to improve to win while Draycott Place also has plenty to find in overall terms.
