He is tried in first-time blinkers (not a bad thing when his trainer applies them), represents a yard in flying form and comes here having proven himself to be an 80 rated type horse. He was giving away plenty weight to the winner at Limerick latest but still ran with credit and readily holds The Islander on that showing. The Islander didn't improve a whole lot from his debut effort and probably needs to find a fair bit of improvement to win this. Supposing is the dark horse in the race following an encouraging debut in a hot maiden at Naas last August. She doesn't have any big entries but is a very well bred type (cost 525,000gns as a yearling) and while the form of that Naas maiden has worked out very well, she does need to reproduce that effort on her first run back. The Scourge is rated 77 but ran badly here on heavy ground recently and now has a bit to prove while Robin's Choice, which cost E70,000 as a yearling, is possibly best watched on debut with stable jockey Wayne Lordan siding with Supposing.
