FormscanBy Donal Murphy - This looks a top class renewal with all seven runners holding solid claims. The one who makes most appeal to me is MALA BEACH. He ran a lovely race over an inadequate trip on his chasing debut at Fairyhouse before getting off the mark on his next start at Punchestown. He is upped to his ideal trip of three miles now and in the likely testing conditions he should be able to out stay his rivals. Don Poli won on his chasing debut at Gowran and he is also upped to three miles now. He too should have no problem with the ground and he looks a big threat to the selection. The Tullow Tank disappointed on his last start at Fairyhouse but after tests he was found to have a lung infection. He is unproven over the trip of three miles and it will be interesting to see how he gets on here. Shanahan's Turn has been impressive in his two chase wins to date and he looks a serious contender while Lots Of Memories and Apache Stronghold both have solid claims. Very Wood disappointingly pulled up on his last start but he is tried in blinkers for the first time now and they might help him bounce back to his best.
