FormscanBy Alan Magee - HURRICANE FLY is taken to extend his record-breaking tally of Grade 1 wins. A lot of pundits were writing off the ten-year-old following his fourth in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham last March and further defeat to Jezki at the Punchestown Festival. However this kind of test has always brought out the best in the selection, and he bounced back when beating Jessica Harrington’s charge in the Morgiana last month. Conditions are sure to be testing again, and perhaps a two and a half lengths verdict over his chief rival in this race last year and a similar margin of victory at Punchestown last month are the key pieces of form. Jezki showed his true mettle at Cheltenham last March and a repeat bid will obviously be the main focus again this term. Connections feel he will come on from his seasonal debut but the Milan gelding may have to wait until March again to turn the tables. The remainder appear to have it all to do, with Tiger Roll the most interesting. The Triumph Hurdle winner got his campaign off to a winning start when returning to Cheltenham but was found to be lame when pulled up last time at Down Royal.
