FormscanBy Alan Magee - INDIAN FAIRY gets the vote. The Eoin Doyle-trained mare filled the runner-up spot behind Kashline (won a handicap since off a mark of 122) when switched to fences at Downpatrick last month, and showed the benefit of that experience to go one better in a mares event at Clonmel. That form received a major boost when third-placed Jennies Jewel subsequently scored in Grade 3 company. She appears to be on a reasonable mark in quite a moderate handicap. Black Zero ran quite freely when making the frame behind Sir Harry Cash at Naas a fortnight ago, and should be better suited by this shorter trip. Another to consider towards the lower end of the weights is Mark Me Up. Around two miles and heavy ground has been the common theme in his three wins under rules, although on the negative side his yard is going through a prolonged lean spell and Philip Rothwell’s charge has failed to complete for various reasons since scoring at Down Royal back in February. Lethal Weapon takes a huge drop in class after making up the numbers in the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown last Sunday, while Swiftmarc has handled varying ground conditions in scoring twice this year at Clonmel and Kilbeggan.
