FormscanBy Gary Carson - Sizing Europe aims for a remarkable four-timer in this but generally needs his first run back and at the age of twelve is clearly not the force he was at his peak. He rounded off last season with an emotional victory in the Grade 1 at Punchestown but that race fell apart a bit with Hidden Cyclone crashing out and taking out Module while Somersby also proved a big disappointment. It would be great to see the old boy claim the race again but he might have his work cut out this term against Galway Plate winner ROAD TO RICHES. Noel Meade's charge had some fine novice form last season but really blossomed at Ballybrit this summer when running away with what looked on paper a highly competitive and open contest. He has been freshened up since and having been raised 13lb for his win he actually has an official mark a pound higher than the former champion chaser while also getting a 4lb pull. Baily Green chased home Sizing Europe in this last year and is 5lb better at the weights this term. He was a good winner when last seen at Killarney in May but just looks like he has a bit to find with the top pair here. Grade 1 winner Lucky William is a smart sort but has had an injury plagued time of it and looks best watched. The two mares in the race look up against it.
