FormscanBy Michael Graham - The Black Russian is interesting after battling his way to victory in Kilbeggan, however, that was over two miles and a scan of his form shows he hasn't troubled the judge in any of his two and a half mile races. If you put a line through HOSPITAL's last run (when he didn't get home in the Midlands National over three miles one) he has to have a good chance. He was running off a chasing mark of 124 then, but he gets in off a hurdle rating of 114 for this assignment. His last three runs have come over fences, but he actually won his last hurdle race in Limerick over two miles two. He has placed on his only other run in Galway in a two mile maiden hurdle in August 2012 and he won over this trip before in Ballinrobe. Golden Ticket, for Christy Roche and Tony McCoy, should be heavily involved. He bounced back to form with a victory in Kilbeggan and is proven at this trip albeit over fences. He doesn't look harshly treated on 109.
