FormscanBy Michael Graham - DOMINATION is going to love the ground on offer in Galway and with 10-13 on his back he appears very appealing. The quicker the ground the better for him and with the track having to water before racing today it is likely to be quick. He was only beaten a length and a quarter by Alelchi Inois in Killarney over this two mile six trip. That came on the back of two excellent runs on the flat which saw him win the Ascot Stakes at Royal Ascot and finish a close-up third in the Coral Marathon at Sandown. A visor is fitted for the first time and might bring about some further improvement. He won the JP McManus Hurdle off a mark of 143 and is already on 141 over fences which is considerably the highest rating in this field. His jockey Davy Russell won this race last year on Rathlin so knows what it takes to negotiate this challenge. Pride Of The Artic will interest each way players. he won this race two years ago and was only 10/1 for last year's Galway Plate. He had a satisfactory seasonal reappearance in Killarney which is sure to have brought him on. Cailin Annamh was brought down in the race that Domination finshed second to Alelchi Inois in. Prior to that she had won two chases. She can go well here.
