FormscanBy Gary Carson - NOBLE EMPEROR got a nice introduction on his chase debut here last month and looks the type to come forward from that outing. He wasn't knocked about in a decent contest won by Adriana Des Mottes after a mistake three from home. He had travelled well up to that point and the experience is sure to stand to him. He had previously been unbeaten in two starts in the spring when landing a bumper and maiden hurdle and was impressive on his outing over timber when easily beating a smart rival in Drumacoo. The slightly softer ground now also looks in his favour. He is fancied to turn the tables on Thunder And Roses, who finished third here last time. Sandra Hughes' charge is a solid type and would be the one to beat if jumping better than now. Busty Brown was a faller at the second last in that race when looking held and may have to settle for minor honours. Val De Ferbet is an interesting one. The French import disappointed on his first start for Willie Mullins at Limerick in March but stayed on nicely in a decent race won by Le Vent D'Antan subsequently at Punchestown. He's unexposed and looks to have talent. Annie Oakley hasn't run since falling when clear at Listowel in June. This looks a tough task on her return.
