She was rated 130 over hurdles, which compares favourably with her current chase mark and with Tony McCoy booked, a good display can be expected. Who Let De Dogsout was a slightly lucky winner at Cork latest but still has solid claims, having proven herself a useful type at this type of rating. Stablemate Byerley Babe was a little out of sorts at Clonmel latest and might be best watched under top weight. Pollywollydoodle, which can cause trouble at the start, ran a cracker in that Clonmel race and can figure from her current mark. Down Ace hasn't set the world on fire on her Irish starts recently and while she has a little to prove over fences, her rating gives her some chance.
An extended handicap steeplechase for four yrs old and upwards mares only which are EBF eligible (140 = 11st 10lb)Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase or steeplechases after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper. Any horse rated above 140 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 11st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 140 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any four or five year old rated above 140 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
