FormscanBy Tom Weekes - Dual Grade 1 winning hurdler THE TULLOW TANK made a very pleasing winning debut over fences here earlier in the month and is likely to figure prominently here. He is a proven high class performer, goes well on this ground and today's trip shouldn't prove any hindrance having won over a furlong further last time. Valseur Lido was a smart novice hurdler last season and won well on chase debut at Punchestown. He looked a potentially useful novice chaser then and while possibly vulnerable to a top class horse, should be involved at the business end. Alelchi Inois basically fell on his latest start and while he had previously won his five chase starts, those were gained in lesser races and on a sound surface. He looks capable of placing but has a little to prove at this high level. Real Steel progressed well over hurdles last season and was quite impressive on his chase debut recently. He might find one or two too strong here but has place prospects. Apache Strongold was also impressive on his chase debut at Down Royal and while he hails from a yard which was out of form for much of last season, could well do much better over fences now. Cause Of Causes, Perfect Gentleman and Band Of Blood are each capable sorts but need to improve to win this.
