FormscanBy Tom Weekes - ALLEZ COLOMBIERES comes here with a tall reputation and might be able to make an immediate impact on his hurdling debut at Grade 1 level. The race itself contains more promise than proven stars but the selection fits the profile of a potentially high class hurdling recruit, having won three of his four French Bumper starts (he pulled up after halfway on his second career run). He hasn't raced for 381 days but is sure to be fit, ready and well schooled for this. His main danger is possibly Tandem, rated 105 on the Flat, who stepped up from his hurdling debut at Galway to win easily at Navan subsequently. He has 2 1/2L to make up on Draco on that Galway run but didn't get the run of the race then and might be able to turn form, with Draco being beat in grade 3 company since. Nichols Canyon was a high class stayer on the flat in France before making a winning hurdle debut at Cork recently. However his jumping then was far from fluent and while his technique is likely to improve with more experience, might prove vulnerable to high class hurdlers. Princely Conn was disappointing at Navan latest and needs to improve to win while this is a big step up for All Hell Let Loose, following his easy win against average rivals at Galway last month. Mike McCann runs for the sponsors but is likely to struggle, being still a maiden.
