He had just one run in a newcomers' hurdle in his native France (the third placed horse later won at Grade 1 level) and should have benefited from his time with Mullins, who seemingly rates him highly enough to contest this Grade 3 race. He raced on 'very soft' ground in France so testing conditions should suit. Dai Bando might do best of the remainder having already beaten some of these rivals in his previous two hurdle outings. He has shown a nice level of ability and while heavy ground might not suit, should be able to uphold Down Royal form with Verawal on slightly easier ground. Tarabiyn disappointed in that Down Royal race but subsequently beat Verawal. The pair have sound place prospects. Love The Feeling's form has been on a sound surface and she takes a step up in class now while Lone Star might struggle to win on overall form. Derbyshire, which seems the Gigginstown pick on jockey bookings, was bought for 40,000Gns just last month from UK trainer Kevin Ryan and looks best watched for now. I'll Be Your Clown, which was a smart flat performer and is rated 93, should make his mark over hurdles in time but might be best watched on jumps debut.
