FormscanBy Donal Murphy - FORGOTTEN RULES is a high class prospect and he looks hard to oppose here. The Dermot Weld trained gelding impressively got off the mark on his debut in a bumper at Punchestown in April and he followed up in a conditions race at the Galway Festival. He beat the smart Shu Lewis (who re-opposes here) by eight lengths there and a reproduction of that effort will see him hard to beat. Eye Of The Storm won this race twelve months ago, beating Missunited by three parts of a length, and he is back to defend his crown now. The Aidan O'Brien trained colt acted as a pacemaker on his last start in the St Leger and so a line can be drawn through that run. He won a Group Three contest at Leopardstown on his penultimate start and he should give the selection the most to do. Kalann won a handicap over the course and distance last month and he since ran a cracker in a Group Two at Doncaster, finishing just a length and a half third to Estimate. He went up a massive twenty-five pounds for that effort and he looks to have solid each-way claims here. The step up to two miles could prove ideal for the lightly raced Altesse and it will be interesting to see how she gets on.
