FormscanBy Donal Murphy - OL' MAN RIVER impressed over the course and distance on his debut last month and anything other than a win for him here will come as a surprise. The regally bred colt cost a massive €2.85 million at Goffs last October and he did what was expected of him on his first start, scoring by three parts of a length. He just went through the motions on that occasion and there should be plenty more to come from the son of Montjeu. His trainer Aidan O'Brien will also be represented by Battle Of Marathon (first time blinkers) and Order Of St George. The latter was impressive when winning his maiden at Leopardstown on his last start and he is sure to have plenty of supporters here. Ger Lyons holds Convergence in high regard and he is given second preference. The son of Cape Cross was a bit disappointing on his last start in the Futurity Stakes but a much improved performance can be expected from him here as he steps up to a mile for the first time. Clonard Street was bought by JP McManus for €100,000 at the inaugural Goffs Champions Sale recently and he is now in training with Tony Martin. He won on his only start at Galway for John McConnell and it will be interesting to see how he gets on here. Tombelaine has plenty of ability and he can't be ruled out while newcomer McGuigan is an interesting contender for Jim Bolger.
