The son of War Front burst on to the scene with two impressive wins earlier in the season before disappointing in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot when sent off the 5/6 favourite. He probably should have won on his penultimate start in the Listed Curragh Stakes before again disappointing on his last outing in the twenty-one runner Weatherbys Hamilton Insurance 300,000 2yo Stakes at Doncaster earlier this month. Back on quick ground now and with only six to beat he looks the one to side with. Tamadhor was beaten into second on her first two starts before getting off the mark at Leopardstown on Champions Weekend. The Kevin Prendergast trained filly looks a progressive sort but she might find the selection just a bit too good. The Eddie Lynam trained newcomer Byzantium looks the most interesting of the remainder with Pat Smullen booked to ride.
