FormscanBy Gary Carson - SACRIFICIAL has run in two good maidens and looks to set the standard here. He was beaten by a very good filly in Raydara on his debut at Leopardstown when staying on late. Not surprisingly he was sent off favourite for his subsequent start at Naas but could only finish third. Again that looked a strong race, however, and the second has come out and won 'doing hand stands' since. If he runs up to the form of those races he should take a bit of beating. Pincode came forward nicely on his second run here last time and although he was no match for the impressive John F Kennedy then it was still a decent performance and he could go well again. He may again hold The Last Marju, who was behind him in fourth then. Ol' Man River is a fascinating newcomer. The Montjeu colt is out of top race-mare Finsceal Beo, a dual Guineas winner, and he cost €2,850,000 when bought as a yearling at Goffs. His half-sister by Sea The Stars was placed in a maiden for John Gosden earlier in the month and market moves for him would obviously command utmost attention. Novis Adventus was a moderate enough fourth on his Leopardstown debut and needs to improve a good bit from that while Frozen Lake showed some promise after a tardy start here on his debut and could get closer now.
