FormscanBy Michael Graham - After CROWN THEATRE won a Downpatrick maiden hurdle this month, Paul Carberry commented that he's going to be a nice chaser. He gets the chance to jump fences in this race and looks worth a bet. He crept into contention in that extended two and a quarter mile contest before staying on well up the hill. He had been running consistently over hurdles and this trip and ground should be right up his street. Darwins Theory won a maiden hurdle at this track in March 2012. He comes here on the back of a good run at Downpatrick where he finished a close up third to Formal Bid in a novice chase. He was prominent throughout and similar tactics should see him competitive here. The Mooch also landed a maiden hurdle success at this venue in March. He has been campaigned in three novice chases and although he hasn't been close to winning there isn't a lot of depth to this race.
