This eight-year-old gelding was a nicely-backed favourite for a Tipperary novice chase earlier this month, but came in seventh. That was his first run back since being pulled up at Clonmel in April. He won a point-to-point and was second in a novice chase last October, however, he would be a risky betting proposition here in light of his recent form. BALLINARD BILLY was second in that Tipperary race, beaten three parts of a length by Better B Quick. He goes on good ground and this trip of two miles three is fine for him. With a visor fitted for the first time, he can get find the improvement to get his head in front. Johnny Burke takes off a more than useful 5lbs. Illtakeitfromhere has been runner-up three times in-a-row, including in a Sligo novice chase last time. He has the form to be a factor in this race, but the trip is a bit of a step into the unknown for him.
