The dual handicap hurdle victor was very eye-catching when fourth on his most recent start - that coming in a beginners chase at this venue three weeks back. He drops back in trip now but he's won at as short as the minimum distance over flights and one would have to think that he'll be able to achieve a bit from an opening mark of 101 in this sphere. It's not surprising to see course and distance winner (won this in 2013) Old Supporter head the early betting after his runner-up placing in Killarney. There are only three others at single figure odds in early shows. Rory's Brother and Imperial Joey have each-way squeaks but early seven or eight to one hope Whisky Galore has yet to win in 52 outings. That goes to emphasise that this is by no means a strong heat.
