FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - KILCARRY BRIDGE is without success in five previous visits to Thurles but he has been second here three times and John Ryan's charge would seem likely to go well now. Even though he first came to prominence with a good performance 'between the flags,' thus far under Rules he's proved to be a better hurdler. The well-related gelding switches back to racing over flights now, after three silver medals in the chasing arena. Ryan Treacy's 7Ib claim brings Kilcarry Bridge's weight down to an attractive ten stone nine and he's already won twice on the John Ryan runner. You could build a case for many of the rest of them. Fosters Cross could go well with David Mullins' 7Ib claim a help. Mrs Mac Veale, Asitsohappens, Is Herself About and Luke’s Benefit have all won here before, and are worth considering, whilst Shadow Catcher, Dalasiri and Princeton Plains are classy types on their day. Coming off breaks, the latter pair in particular, need to be monitored in the betting.

Any horse rated above 130 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 11st 10lb.
