FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - Unless the market speaks favourably for Ballyadam Approach, on his return to the fray off a lengthy absence, the safest policy here could be to row in behind BLACK ZERO. This fellow finally shed his maiden tag to land a gamble at Gowran last time. It certainly wasn't any harm to the Blueprint gelding, to see Indian Fairy depart at the last on that occasion, but there was hardly anyone begrudging Michael McDonagh's winner, as the gold medal was a long time about arriving. The selection is still only a six-year-old so he may be progressive enough to cope with a 7Ib rise in the weights. Other pluses for him are Jonathan Burke's presence in the saddle, and as he's shown before that he likes to get on with things, two and a quarter miles around Thurles could suit him well. Not to the same extent as Ballyadam Approach, but we haven't seen Golden Ticket or Two In A Row for a while, so they are another pair to keep an eye on in the betting. Useful 'pointer' and hunter chaser, Easyondeye, can't be underestimated either, on his initial go in handicap company.
