FormscanBy Tom Weekes - LIKE IT A LOT has threatened, at times, to prove better than this sort of 0-116 level and might be able to win on his chase debut. He has point-to-point experience (third to Black Hercules on his only ptp start) and seemed to be getting the hang of things recently and this staying trip should bring out the best in him. Once And Always, in common with quite a few of these, also makes his chase debut but might be able to figure first-time up. He is a point-to-point winner and while he showed little initially over hurdles, looked fairly progressive on his most recent starts. Old Castletown fell at the first on his only other encounter with chase fences but has since proven himself a fair hurdler. His revised hurdle rating of 105 is lower than some of his rivals but the form of his Tramore win did receive boosts since with the runner-up winning twice since and the third also winning a maiden hurdle. He did also fall in his only previous point-to-point but is likely to do better over fences now that he has more hurdle experience. Saltmills Blackie showed some reasonable form on good ground recently and while clearly no star, stays well and has winning point-to-point experience, which will help on chase debut. The Doorman ran well on his point-to-point debut and while he has disappointed since, might do better over fences but looks best watched for now.
