FormscanBy Donal Murphy - BABY WHIZZ disappointed on his last start at Listowel but he is given the chance to redeem himself here. The Tom Mullins trained eight-year-old appears to need quick ground nowadays and the good, good to yielding in places surface at Listowel probably didn't suit. The trip of two mile one may have also been on the short side and back up to two and a half now he looks the one to beat. Carlanstown has been frustrating to follow. He was a beaten favourite on his last five starts but the application of blinkers for the first time now could prove significant. Luke Dempsey takes a valuable seven pound off here and the son of Winged Love should be able to make his presence felt carrying just nine stone nine. Old Supporter is a consistent sort and few would begrudge him of a win. He was beaten just half a length on his last two outings and another solid effort can be expected from him now. Close Review is another who can't be ruled out while Jack The Hat is an interesting contender making his debut for Liz Doyle. Kilmurry Kid needs a good cut in the ground to be seen at his best. He is unlikely to get that here and so he is opposed.
